FEASIBILITY STUDY OF VREELUST ROTTERDAM

In order  to evaluate the feasibility of the redevelopment of sports park Vreelust, we were asked to deliver a well underpinned proposal to show the relevance of the development for the surrounding community as well as the entire city.

The client, a sports association, is the operator of the area and wanted to show the municipality the lack of capacity and maintenance now, but also for the future. The client believes the time has arrived to redevelop the sports park, especially because a lot of buildings in the surrounding area already have been redeveloped.

Our analysis shows the relevance of the redevelopment, while taking into consideration the central location, the city growth, new redevelopment areas and the lack of other sports parks within a 5 km radius. The area itself has seperated sports facilities. In our proposal we suggest a full-serviced and integrated building, which also offers space for offices, care and social facilities.
