Today I attended an inspiring talk of international architect, designer and urbanist Kunlé Adeyemi at Stroom Den Haag. He gave insight on his ambition for water and cities in relation with his clear vision on architecture and social entrepreneurship. Threw his most recent projects, he showed the way his firm tries to solve problems by embracing the economical, socio-cultural and environmental conditions. He also gave a short introduction on the adaptability and resilience of african people, but the talk was unfortunately more focussed on his projects in the huge watercities, which on the other hand did show a different image of Africa. Curious to find out more about his thoughts and work on other parts of Africa, with different conditions.
