Interim Professional Haarlemmermeer

In the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer, we built more than plans, we built connections.

Through ViS Detachering, Alex joined the municipal engineering department as an interim urban planner. In Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep, he worked on zoning frameworks (SPvE’s), plot passports and the quality of public space. At the same time, he played a key role in bringing people together, connecting departments, aligning interests and strengthening collaboration within tender and quality teams.

Haarlemmermeer is a municipality in motion. Growing residential areas, densification around transport hubs, and villages determined to preserve their unique identity. This dynamic requires clear spatial frameworks, but also sensitivity to context and character. It is within this field of tension that Alex contributed to plans that are not only strong on paper, but also supported within the organization.

By combining urban design expertise with process guidance and collaboration, we helped shape places where people will truly want to live and work. Together, we continue building the future.
