Sketch proposal Broeklanden

The Broeklanden location is sandwiched between the Hofgeesterweg, the Broekeroog and the Oostlaan in Velserbroek. The municipality wants to enable the construction of 45 affordable homes here.

The location is now largely used as a public sports field. The remaining part is used as a riding school. However, the owner of the riding school wants to stop running the business. A new sports complex nearby in the Hofgeest area has taken into account the construction of a new rugby field for the rugby club The Smugglers.

Building homes at this location does not fit within the environmental plan. The environmental plan must be changed to a residential function or an external environmental plan must be requested. We made a

sketch and preliminary design, so the initiators can start applying for the environmental permit.
